Olivia's birth

I have been wanting to write about Olivia's birth since she was born...I don't want to forget it!

On January 21, 2010 I went to Winnie Palmer Hospital thinking I was going to have her, my sister even came out from Palm Bay to be with us for her birth. We went home empty handed, because it was not time. I went through weeks of this kind of torture and had a rough Valentine's Day, which I later felt terrible about since my cousins came to visit from Minnesota.

The next day and first full day of my cousins vacation, they wanted to go to Sea World and Brittany was going with them. For some reason I felt uneasy about this as I knew Olivia would be coming soon, her due date was February 17, 2010. Sure enough I went to the bathroom and when I went to go I thought something was wrong as I felt like I just kept peeing and it would just keep coming every time I moved. I tried the trick the nurses told me about leaning to one side and then leaning to the other and it still kept happening. I had a feeling it was my water, but all my other babies, my water was broken at the hospital. So I called my sister and she said she was on the way and I called my husband and told him to bring Brittany if she still wanted to attend the birth and I called my oldest daughter to see if she wanted to come too.

I waited for my Aunt Kathy and Uncle Manny too come and be with the rest of the kids/pick up kids after school. I was already out in the Camaro waiting to leave as my pains were so close and I was in a lot of pain! I had a plastic bag and a towel on the seat. Once they came we said our goodbyes and left. The ride to the hospital was a crazy ride, and Sean thought he would have to deliver the baby by himself! lol We finally pull up and I go to get out of the car and as I stood up a flood of amniotic fluid came and I was soaked, jeans socks and shoes! They wheeled me in and they had me sitting in a wheelchair for what seemed like forever, but it wasn't really. Don't ask me why you have to pre-register as they always ask you all the same questions over again and they had all my records there. Then they put me in triage and had to make sure this was the real deal, what fun! Of course it was, but like they would believe me and my soaked clothes! Like any human being could pee that much! lmao Finally my sister showed up to relieve poor Sean as he can't stand to see me in pain. They tried to get me to move into another bed and I refused and told them the baby was coming, and she was! I thought I was going to give birth in the elevator, but we made it upstairs into my room and I moved to my bed. They were screaming for a doctor as Olivia was not going to wait any longer, meanwhile a anesthesiologist comes in and asks if I want an epidural! Um, I think it is a little late for that with the baby's head right there! Sean just made it into the room to see our little Princess born! She was a painful labor like David, but because she came so quickly, this made it more bearable. Brittany cut the cord to separate her baby sister from her mommy and my sister Lisa got to be there to witness yet another birth! Olivia Wynell Waterhouse came into this world at 1:07 p.m. on February 15, 2010 at Winnie Palmer Hospital for women and children. She weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 20.5" long. I was in hard labor for approximately 1 hour and she wanted to make her presence known!
